Monmouth County’s population is 621,354, making it the state’s fifth-most populous county. In 2015, the county had a per capita personal income of $69,410, the fifth-highest in New Jersey, and ranked 74th out of 3,113 counties in the United States. Monmouth County ranked 38th among the highest-income counties in the United States as of 2011, placing it among the top 1.2% of counties by wealth.

The people of Monmouth County, New Jersey, tend to be more educated and wealthier than average. As such, they are a highly valued cohort for many brands, products, and services.

At the same time, they are passionate about the history of this region. This is evidenced by a county historical association founded more than 120 years ago and remains prominent and prosperous today. And there are nearly 70 local organizations dedicated to historic preservation, some of which focus on a single landmark, others on the many boroughs and townships of the County.
